I could not say enough good things about this place. I brought my very, very sick puppy in as a walk in (which in this case was a blessing) and everyone was wonderful from the front staff to the nurses. Dr Lucas was just amazing! He was able to pinpoint my babies problem quickly and accurately. She is now a happy girl again. I could not be more grateful for the wonderful people here for saving my baby girl ❤️. I would give them 5000 stats if I could! Thank you, thank you so so much 🐾
I've previously had bad experiences here, but this visit wasn't as bad. The young lady at the check-in window was the sweetest employee I've ever dealt with there so far! Dr. Lucas is great! He genuinely seems to care about both the pet AND their owner. He's very patient & takes the time to talk things over with you.
The biggest problem I had with this visit & every other time is the LONG wait. On this visit Dr. Lucas was the only vet on duty. I had a cat running a high fever, in severe respiratory distress, & growing weaker with the passing of all that time. Even though we got there about 2:45pm, we sat in the waiting room for 3 hours, which one would have expected it to not be quite that busy that close to closing time. When they finally called us back, we were in the exam room waiting for evaluation, X-rays, & care for nearly another 2 hours.
I understand that they had several beloved pets that had to be euthanized that day, but just don't understand WHY they do walk-ins only rather than making appointments. It seems as though things would flow more quickly & efficiently with actual appointments. Not many people can afford to just sit at the vet's office for an entire day. But because I trust Dr. Lucas, & because he HASN'T become hard hearted like so many others have, I will continue taking my furry babies there for care.
Having recently moved to the area, I wasn't sure where to go when my Pekingese scratched his eye. I took him here a couple of months ago and the care he received was phenomenal. My older pup, a mixed breed, needed surgery to have a mass removed and I was terrified having lost a dog in similar surgery in the past. After much consideration, I brought him in and I cannot express my gratitude and happiness enough! The staff was fantastic, the vet was truly the best and made sure to explain everything to me, calling me the minute my Charles was out of surgery. My boy (well, both boys) did so well and I will not be taking them anywhere else for future needs. I love this establishment and am so incredibly pleased. Also, the fees are so reasonable! 10/10 recommend!
This hospital is not just the best one in Elizabeth City. It's the best one I've ever been to (except for the vet I used to use in Atlanta who was a fabulous guy RIP). Staff is kind to both people and animals, and l, well, they just make a scary visit to the vet so much better for you and your pet. I love these people. The older doctor who used to be there was not there the last time I went but unsurprisingly the young vet (who I hope will take over the practice) was trained by him. He was just as kind and knowledgeable as the other vet. Sorry, I really should get names, but I'm pretty sure that it won't matter who you end up seeing if you go because the staff is just as good as the doctor.
We have been taking our dogs here for years and would never go anywhere else! The care and compassion show by all staff has always been very appreciated. We wouldn’t trust our babies with anyone else.
They saved my healthy 1-year-old sweet kitty-girl from being euthanized; they lovingly kept her and found a rescue from which I adopted her last January. What a fantastic, caring vet practice.
Everyone was so kind and compassionate. From checking in to picking up our furbaby . Would highly recommend Pasquotank Animal Hospital
Dr.Gilliland was awesome! She took her time examining Yoshi and explaining everything to me. Everyone in the office is very friendly and helping.
